cast a 6 with a 7 line cast good but can handle more. i bought 1 will report back after i have a chance to fish .

only use as a guide to rods you should concider, test cast before buying.i have been a sage fan for a long time but that ended with generation 5 . the z axis is my least favorite rod i own. LL and XP,s are great rods

had a chance to fish scott 10ft 4 wt s4 on Saturday. that baby can mend some line , and cast was good, handled fish well,[ pleased,] might get a chance to try tomorrow on s holston. need to add some weight on the abel super 4 that i have

well just purchased today a scott s4 10ft 4 wt. need to get fishing, i will let you know how i comes out.

May i recommend Marc Poulos as a guide, i have used him 2 times this year he has been very helpful and been on his game each time. both on low

conclave is coming up in couple weeks lots of fishing will be going on. i bet the water will be low during that week. i caught only bows dark fall colors

your right age has something to do with it, hard to keep all the letters and numbers straight between rod companys. they keep changing every year.

the xp fits my cast much better . the z axis is a 5wt just doesn’t fish as the xp ‘ i have fished several times can’t get with the z ,the xp was my favorite of all the sages that i have owned including LL ,rpl ,rpl+and z axis, i have owned 3 z’s have sold all except the 590. i tryed the scott
