MemberA walk across the street is the “primary” fishing grounds. (my farm pond)
10 minute drive to three different rivers for smallies and carp.
35 minutes to good smallie float water
1 hour to decent bottom release trout water
40 minutes to more wild brookies than you could fish in a lifetime
1.5 hours to the best wild trout creeks and rivers in the state of PA, perhaps in the eastern US.
2 hours from savage, NB potomac tailwaters,
2.5 hours from GL steelhead if traffic is right and the po-po is not watching.And everything else in between.
not to mention turkey, deer, grouse out the back door.
I guess I have it pretty good.

MemberDoes a stack of Mad magazines count as a book? Oh yeah, there was a paperback of the early Bob Kane Batman comics I read several times.
I think flyfishing came naturally after thinking about Batman’s use of rope.
