I’m looking at the Marmot offerings too, although I am real partial to Patagonia, as they have been good to me over the years and I have had nothing but good experiences with their service dept and products.

I’m basically looking for a three season jacket that I can layer under and something that is durable.

Dan, thanks for sharing and stepping up to the forefront to battle for an important conservation cause. My wife and I were watching the new series on the national parks the other night and when the program made a political connection regarding the damming of the river in Yosemite to the appointment of a lead San Franciso developer to a Washington position that would lead to the approval of the project, she shook her head and said, “It’s all politics, isn’t it?”

Some where along the way people have to start asking, who made these decisions? It is amazing and disturbing how such monumental changes in the progress of America have been made by a few behind closed doors.

Not me, but our friend Mark Stephenson is heading your way shortly.
    Take plenty of pics.

At least you didn’t leave a creek that was fishing well because “it was surely going to blow out and not fish the next day” only to get a phone call from a friend the next day that went something like “the water held out, nobody around, things are going great.”

We were supposed to stay for the weekend, but made the long drive home in the dark and rain because we were so confident that the t-storms would ruin things for the next day.

Sometimes it’s good to get reminded that you don’t know it all, but this one stung a little more than usual.

    Keep chasing the toothies Dave!

    Scott G2 844/4 with WF4 or DT5 on it.
Scott F703/3 with Sage quiet taper 3 on it.
