MemberHave many friends that use those balls for such purposes. Reports indicate they make excellent flies.

MemberYou nailed that demo.

MemberBob, I don’t want to leave the impression that I actually know what I am talking about with respect to your question, because that would be incorrect.
Aaron Christensen
MemberIt is a personal decision, but I would go for wild trout over pen-raised birds, if that is the choice.

MemberJust ordered the F1.

MemberMy only idea yet is to not bring any change of clothes (except underwear) and use that space for waders.
Could always turn the underwear inside out. 😉 But seriously, the quick dry underwear and t-shirts are excellent and light. If they get too ripe, a quick wash is very easy to accomplish. I use the Ex Officio. 2 pairs – dry super fast and they weigh next to nothing.

MemberI am tempted to post a sign up sheet. 🙂 Seems like it would be a very easy and relatively affordable 3-day weekend trip. THANKS for the great suggestions.
For bones on a budget, and if anyone has perspective, how do you compare Belize to Andros Island?

MemberExcellent report.

MemberNice fish, Cameron.

MemberThanks. I need to start spending more time with fishing photos. My kids have been the primary subject for the last decade or so. I enjoyed the photos on this trip as much as the fishing and can see a few ways (in addition to smiling) that I can make them better. For starters, keeping the fish extra wet seems like a good one.
Got the water drops at f/8 1/1000.

MemberNeal, that’s an excellent tip. Need to add the grin to the grip and grin.
You will have a great time with Paul when you put that trip together.Aaron Christensen
MemberDave, that is an interesting point. I wasn’t aware of that, but in this case, it wasn’t cranked down much at all. The drag was set very light. Since the first failure, I had been using it for fish that didn’t require any drag at all (as illustrated by the ridiculously small striper in my picture).
Still, glad I learned something new about reels.

MemberHey, Zack, thanks for the thoughts.
It is a sealed drag reel, desgined and marketed for salt water and other challenging applications.
I know the first failure (which occured the first time I had ever used the reel, during a salmon trip several years back) was a manufacturing issue.

MemberThe Hodgeman Guidelite has been as tough as Chuck Norris for me, at a fair price.

MemberDifferent tack here, but my computer has had the most dramatic impact on my fly fishing.
