It’s clipping the highlights because it’s trying to bring the dark spots up so they aren’t just black.

Your image link needs to end in a file name, such as http://www.whatever.com/pics/filename.jpg.
The board software doesn’t recognize a directory (anything ending in a / mark) as a file.

Yeah canoes are very easy to come by for cheap these days.
I would look at getting one with as flat a bottom as possible; rolled-hull canoes are truly relics of the days when they were made of bark or canvas.

Then I also got an MSR Superfly that I haven’t used yet; it’s going in the pack this fall with ramen and a small GSI one-man pot so I can have some hot food on the back of beyond.
I was hiking in heavy snow last year and felt myself getting really sleepy and cold about 3 miles from the trailhead, which is not good.

False advertising, as long as it is accidental, usually would qualify for insurance coverage for an operation like Whiting’s.
