Middle Tennessee also has fantastic striper fishing if you have a boat.

The advantage of the 24MP profile, if that proves to be the case, is that you should still be able to get like 12-14MP of usable image space out of your DX glass, which is totally enough for what I do.

    Curtis –

I typically cover IFTD for someone or other (this year it would be Fly Rod & Reel) but not ICAST or Outdoor Retailer.  I am not sure if I’ll even make IFTD this time, though–have back to back trials bookending that week and it’s a midweek convention.  If our second trial gets bumped I’ll try to go.

Also, that rule is the rule in many states, including North Carolina and Georgia (although it is rarely enforced in GA since most trout streams are outright owned by the government).

I have seen those guys have to give up practice when the levels are low enough to expose the mud flats.

From a kayaking perspective, I agree with Mike that the Native Ultimate seems to be the best fly fishing craft on the market.

    Mike –

When you say the lower Gardner, I assume you’re fishing the stretch from Mammoth Hot Springs to Gardiner, MT?  That’s a real neat area thanks to the mountain goats (not to mention the Legionnaire’s Disease), but I wouldn’t have thought of it as offering great fishing.  I’ve only fished it because it is right down by Mammoth Hot Springs campsite so it’s an easy evening walk.

Are you just picking up lots of littler fish on dries or are there some trophies in there?  I’ve seen a couple cutthroat over 16″ maybe, but never landed any.

PS Great hat in those videos!  Is that a Native kayak?

PPS How are you tackling Yellowstone Lake and how big was that fish in the video?

My cousin Jacob doesn’t always wear a moustache, but when he does, he catches freshwater drum…

    Hahaha.

Hahahahaha. Arkansas is still one of the great states: there is no private water on the White River.

I have contacted a few website designers but I can’t find one that has a vision for the site I want. I suspect the issue is none of them cast fly rods.

I would recommend you try to take your vision and sketch it out or find some other examples on the web that come close to it. A lot of times it can be difficult to read what is in the client’s head without something on paper or a real-world example that comes close to what you perceive it to look like.

Also, the better you can define what you want the more accurate the quotes will be to devleop it for you.

    Good luck!
