    My son and I will be spending a night in Bozeman after a few days on the Madison, and I would like to find a good local place for breakfast before we leave for Troy and the Kootenai. Ability to properly poach an egg a definite requirement!

    Once you get to Troy, have breakfast downtown at the diner. Pancakes are highly recommended.

    Thank you all for the responses – with any luck I will be back many more times and can try several of them. Frankly, I would love to retire in Bozeman, but pretty sure I won’t be able to convince the wife.

    I’ll give that a try – I’ve always stayed in Libby before, but not this time, so I will be looking for breakfast around there as well.
