I offer it not to feed the political debate (it’s an opinion piece) but for the additional facts it presents. I agree with the conclusion that we should all be on our guard and also that this is a sad state of affairs.

The shooter has been charged with second degree murder. Legally, he did not have grounds to repel mere trespassers with deadly force. Typically the only remedy to repair a temporary trespass is that you can be forced to leave the property (and the police might charge you with creating some kind of public unrest, but that’s a criminal matter).

Sorry Ben, but much appreciated. It’s part of what keeps this such a collegial board.

    Hey guys –

Much as I hate to put an end to a lively debate, we don’t do politics here on the board. The murderer was clearly in the wrong and will get his punishment.

    Thanks,

    Jay –

The good news is, as you have pointed out before, this boat had a rough-finished interior anyway. I’ve been in some pangas in Mexico that looked like you could cut your feet on the walls if you got too close…

    Billy –

I usually use mine myself. It doesn’t do anything to your Facebook account – doesn’t post to your wall or require a like or even show that you are a member here. I think it just cross-references your email against your registered Facebook email and thus knows it’s you. It’s very convenient in my opinion.

However in all likelihood you just needed your password reset – we had some get kind of screwy in the transition. If anyone else is having trouble please email me at ZachMatthews@gmail.com.

    Thanks,

Aaron – nice stuff. I like that grass flat shot.

Jay – Good. Maybe with some more practice you’ll improve. HAHAHHA.

Seriously man, those are sick and that skinny water brown is one of the best of those I have ever seen.

Guys like Jay take a potential risk of sacrificing a sale by posting shots like that here and we really appreciate that. And promise not to tell editors. 🙂

Colin I have nothing to offer on Fiji but it sounds totally bad ass and I hope you’ll take a lot of pictures and post back.

Good stuff, Brian. That Virginia river had some pretty blue water–kinda different.

I know one of the owners of the canoe rental places on the Buffalo – Mike Mills at Buffalo Outdoor Center. I don’t have the impression he would mind it if there was a permit quota of some kind. But the problem would be enforcement; there are a million places to enter the water around there and Arkansans are not in the habit of checking regulations to do things like canoeing. And I suspect whatever NPS staff is assigned to the Buffalo would be the absolute bare minimum.

But I definitely know what you mean, Mark.

Those western lakes are so cool. I wish we had any form of stillwater trout fishing whatsoever here in the South.

Very interesting Mike. Thanks for the update and it was very nice of you to help them out. That’s a nice pic by the way.

It’s hard to imagine given our ridiculous water levels that anywhere could be in drought, but Montana is a long way away.

We were getting delved by forum spammers out of China and, ironically, one known IP address in Kansas. That’s what was bringing the board to a crawl and causing the database errors – inability to reach our MySQL box.

I have the ability to block IP ranges. If you guys start getting database error notices, please email me so I can hop on our logs and block the people doing it.

It only took like three days of tech support to figure out this relatively simple issue…

    Hey David –

Call Cohutta Fishing Company – http://www.cohuttafishingco.com/. I bought a pair from them this spring and they might still have some.

That’s awesome man! Love that last pic. Very interesting too that they lay up red then white gelcoat – you would think for sure they’d have to reverse it to get proper coverage. Is the only paint the gray stripe on top then? I’ve always been partial to a black stripe there personally. You should really consider swapping out the paint scheme just to put your own stamp on it since you have every color under the sun available. Orange and black would be sweet.

Mark if you do a cast and blast you have got to report back. Is that lab pup in the photo ready to get a mouthful of pheasant feathers yet?

I might suggest shooting for the gutter and adding for a bit of bleed, in other words, shoot a bit wider, if you are concerned with it.

Very good advice. Looks like I ought to tip my cap to that 16-35 when I can make it happen.

    Thanks everyone.
