    Brian –

Many shops will happily swap you and give you a different line size, but I’d go to a different shop to try it.

    Brian –

You’re always better overlining than underlining, and that is especially true of a modern fast action rod.

I heard they ditched the Brakewater, which in fairness was usually the reel Dan was talking up, and everyone agrees it was the best of the bunch.

Thought I might update this a little as it’s a remarkably useful thread for anyone interested in fishing literature or general reading.

Since I wrote this I’ve read a lot of different stuff.

    Hey Simon –

I don’t have one; can’t afford it, but if I had $1500 to spend on a camera right now this is the camera I would buy.

    Hey Swampfox –

I’m not sophisticated enough to host photos for you guys – that would take more programming knowledge than I’ve got.

    Hey SeeWillie –

Most people would say any soft-sided or soft-rubber net is as “catch and release friendly” as we can make it.

    Hey Pitts –

Digital makes conversion to B & W easy, but you have to keep in mind what you want.

Yes there was – too heavy, though, and not drawn well enough.

For me, it’s RAW saved directly to a Mac > opened in Adobe Lightroom > Reviewed and selected, then pulled out to Photoshop > Basic exposure work done, then saved into max JPEG > JPEGs are copied to an archive harddrive, then re-opened in my PC (I have a CRT monitor that I have simply used to color-correct everything so I am familiar with it and what I want.)

Bryan I haven’t seen the new issue yet so I just can’t comment on it.

So I take it he is basically exposing each section of the image for maximum color saturation and sharpness and then overlaying the entire image so that it has an unreal all-colorful, all-sharp look?
