Just to circle back around to the original question; the Scott G2 is Scott Fly Rods’ successor to the G series, which was one of the first rods (maybe the first rod) Scott offered, and which was a perenniel favorite for 25 years.

Not being offensive, because I know and like Mike McLelland a lot (his shop is one of the only ones recommended by this site in my About page), but he didn’t invent that method either.
I would, guys, really, but I have to be in Memphis to a) pick up my Jeep, which was being repaired in Arkansas and b) hit Beale Street with my parents and their friends.
I wasn’t offended by Flatlander’s comments and he gives an accurate restatement of the fishing rules I live by: a lot of other factors are more important than the color of the shirt you wear.
I got a lanyard for Christmas but have not yet tried it; it might be a good supplement to my hip pack, and it would be even better for my planned camera backpack.
That’s very intriguing – those are basically identical to the highest-end stuff, and we just don’t have to pay the made-in-Europe premium.
