Poor Simon Chu; not only did he get his picture posted giving the pirate eye, but he can’t even respond because by now he’s deep in the Kenai blistering the salmon!

I didn’t snap photos but I’ll describe them.
The rods are sanded, but translucent silvery-gray blanks.
Lando –
There was a change at Gore; they altered the way they name their entire lineup (just when people were starting to figure out the last naming scheme), but fundamentally the fabric is pretty much the same.
The new fabric, which is being used by Simms, is primarily different in the interior layer (which is woven on a vertical-and-horizontal loom, as opposed to knitted, which was how the older interior was assembled).
I believe the Winston is both, and no, unfortunately I had to be back at my desk in Atlanta this week, so no fishing.
To Matt’s credit, this is a direct quote:

Some of those sites make clear that the top is the only waterproof component (and you may evaluate that claim for yourself based on the video, clearly).
