MemberWe pulled two 30’s and a 20 out of the Cumby during Sat’s downpour. Don’t be so fast to wish away the rain.

MemberI own two of the Jackson Coosa’s and have spent enough time in one in various types of water to feel confident in speaking about them.
Pros. Stable, easy to stand up and fish, easy to paddle, maneuverable, tons of storage, designed as a fishing kayak and it shows, VERY comfortable seat, self bailing, just great overall design that covers alot of kayak situations with ease.
Cons. It’sa bit on the heavy side.

MemberI’ve started using 30# suffix running line with “recycled” heads from the many integrated lines I’ve busted over the years. I’m almost to the point where I prefer this set up now. That Suffix is very thin, ultra limp, and shoots extremely well. It’s different, but casting this setup takes much less casting speed to achieve the same distances. I just use the suffix as the running line on these setups I think I paid $10 for 300 yards of 30 in bright yellow. Buy some Suffix, some braided loops, and give it a try.

MemberNext up, The Housewives of Atlanta fly reels. They’ll resemble an Oxycontin pill.

MemberAny 9wt fast rod, 350 grain integrated shooting head in intermediate and sink, and floater. Reel is a matter of personal choice just don’t skimp.

MemberI watched it the other night and enjoyed it. Did you guys see the episode My life as a Turkey? Hands down my favorite episode yet.

MemberHere’s a crappy video I put together. I didn’t try hard on this one while shooting or processing it. It still captured Dave’s excitement.

MemberDave googled our trail and the dry bed was 3.7 miles not 2!
Zach that area is known for its caves. Cumberland caverns is just Few miles away. There are also several rivers in fall creek falls park close by that go underground some of them have openings large enough to suck a kayak in. We’ll be more cautious in those areas.

MemberZach it goes underground! No, thats my friend Dave. I’m down 30
pounds but I still have 20 or 30 to go. Even then I won’t be his size. Word is that this could be the only fly caught musky from that section ever.Mike Anderson
MemberWhere are the hardy rods manufactured?
Mike Anderson
MemberBuy a new motor. Nothing worse then an old POS outboard always breaking.

MemberReverb seemed out of place a little but parts of it made me laugh pretty good. The Tarpon video was the best one. Amazing good video quality on that one. I wonder what equipment was used.

MemberNice portfolio Gordon.

MemberGood to hear from you John, it’s been awhile. Hope things are going well.
That was great Eric! Thanks.
Mike Anderson
MemberThanks Jay. I guess I just get a little disgusted sometimes though it’s more at myself for not putting enough effort into taking the next step and being too harsh on my own work.
Mike Anderson
MemberYea, I guess that’s one reason I hadn’t considered.
Mike Anderson
MemberA good caster can make just about any fly rod do the job…. Especially a 5wt and under.
Mike Anderson
MemberI like it also.
