MemberOk thanks for the advice. I will see what I can do. Any suggestions on reflective material?
The white foam material ,just like the stuff computers a protected with when they are in the box. Sorry cant come up with the material name in english.
Would aluminum foil work?
Maybe, i never used it because it does not diffuse the light.
I am just trying to think of what I have around the house.
The paper in the picture, above, it white, and I used the flash.Try not to use the flash direct on the fly it will always put more light above the fly then underneath. Try in youre setup to reflect the light from the lamp so you get almost the same amount of light underneath the fly.

MemberTry to put a white paper or other reflective material underneath your fly so the light can bounce up into the shadow part.
Best is (if possible ofcourse) to use multiple light sources, like 2 halogen lights from both sides.
When i shoot pictures with the fly in my vice i tape the background to a box or somthing to hold it up. That way when you make a step by step the background looks the same on all pictures and you got both youre hands free.

MemberNumber 2 is a nice shot.
The word on the backspinner blade on the number one picture. It was not possible to turn it the right way round?

MemberYou are absolutly right David.
The lights i used are not really strong enough to light the fly. This was the very first shot in my new lightcube and the next setup will be with an sb800 and a 80DX on the sides. That should bring more light into the cube.

MemberPhil is it possible to post/get a template or so of a cover or something with lines by witch people can determine if the photo would fit?
Or is this a really silly idea? 🙂

MemberI don’t see any reason to buy a mac. The only reason i can think of is that the quality of showing colors (photo) is said to be better than on a PC. I have never seen it with my own eyes and i think with the screens available at the moment that would not be a problem with a PC.
My reason for keep buying PC’s is that over the years i’ve learned a lot about pc’s and i don’t feel like doing that again with a mac.
And what above is said about linux is absolutly true. And linux is getting better every day and a lot user friendly.

MemberMy next computer buy will be a big ass PC with a lot of horse power. This for the higher demand of power by the latest graphic studio’s and develop studio’s.
And games ofcourse 🙂

MemberI don’t think this is a real poll about what system is best and what software you should use. You already know what system youre gonna buy, a mac!
I use a Laptop PC with Photoshop and Lightroom. No Problem at all.

MemberChad… very nice design work.
There is a very thin blackline between your index_14 and index_11. Looks like a border you might wanna get rid of that.
And there is no link to get back to the first/home page maybe you want to tell something about yourself overthere or post some news.
And the custom scrollbar is a very good idea this blue one doesn’ t fit into the design.

MemberDoes someone know how too get the best quality conversion from my DV camera too an .flv file? Now i use Pinnacle Studio 10 to get it from my camera and make it an avi and then i use Macromedia flash converter to make it an .flv but i d like too get a better result.
Here is a link to an .flv file i made.
Other solutions are also welcome.
