It seems like all my fly fishing related photos from the past year have been still life or product style shots. I guess that’s what happens when you don’t make it out on the water. Then again, what other kind of fly fishing related shot can I make at 12:30 am on a week night?
I figured the pheasant tail on the old built in cutting board in my kitchen would make for an interesting set up. I placed the scissors in and loved the lines/shapes that I was able to create with their placement.
This is pretty close to the out of camera image. I just did some burning in PS.

I think I’ve been inspired by memories of looking at cabela’s catalogs as a kid.
