All I have to add is how sad it is that an adult read what was an obvious advertisment and thought it to be true.

Really, who cares? It’s a silly Internet reality show with people who are basically doing a bunch of different ‘adventure’ activities for the first time. Big deal if they suck at fly fishing. That’s kind of the point – they’re trying new things. They’re not supposed to be any good.
As far as the actual show goes, fly fishing aside, it’s pretty bad. That’s probably while it’s being watched on the Internet only and not on TV (at least to my knowledge).
Also go to a longer leader say 15′ with a long 6x tippett say 18-20′ in total. While this can be tricky to turn over ( practice practice )when presented well, this will give a better and longer drag free drift .

Hell, one day last autumn while on the river, I loaned a few hunters an old climbing rope so they could winch a bear across the river.
Of course, afterward we stood around the bear laying in the middle of the road and drank a beer or two. Down the road came a little rental Subaru whose passengers looked like the well-groomed types. They looked a bit astonished and horrified at the scene. Haha.
