MemberInteresting rod shootout and perhaps even more interesting cruising around the JS Company web site (particularly some of the translations). In particular this page http://www.jscompany.net/Page/?pageid=1013

MemberIs it the Surfaces trade convention?
Nope conference was back in October 2012. Over and done with. Managed to get out on Lake Mead with Capt. Mark Edison to get some stripers and small mouth.

MemberHi Rob,
Lake Burley Griffin is the man made lake in the middle of town and the prime species here is carp. Whilst they are fun to catch, if you are looking to sample some of the regions trout fishing then you will probably be better served getting out of town a little.
The Cotter and Goodradigbee rivers are about within an hour of of town and may be worth a try. Alternatively, you could head out a little further an fish the Snowy Mountain area, plenty of smaller streams to give the tenkara a workout. There are also quite a few guides operating in the Snowy region which should make things a little more straightforward.
If you decide to spend a weekend out of town, I would suggest checking out Lake Crackenback resort – has all the nice things to keep your wife busy while you explore. Or perhaps something in the town of Jindabyne – another town on a Lake.
Good luck and enjoy your visit, Malcolm

MemberI am very happy with my Lamsons so far – couple of Konics and a Guru.
Zach has already included a link to their design philosophy but they also have produced a very informative series of 5 videos as well that goes through the whole range outlining features, differences, etc. Worth a watch.
Unfortunately, I am not allowed to post this as an active link (perhaps someone else could do this). The videos are on youtube and part one has the ID of PL3zJF3GihQ. If you do a youtube search using this ID you should find it.
cheers, Malcolm
