MemberAndrew,
I will actually be fishing out of Murrell’s Inlet with Shannon Curry.
I have fished the area several times, but never this late in the year.keith b
Memberman those do look good!
best of luck with the giants.keith b
MemberI should be in the area next weekend and I hope to find the same luck you did.
Nice pics and it looks like a blast, too bad you did not get the bird on film.keith b

Memberas a youongster my grandfather and I would thumb the bass pro catalogs (that was the only way to get their stuff back then, unless you lived in MO) and I saw a snake lure.
It was a foam head that looked very very real and it floated nose up out of the water.keith b
MemberHOLY MOLY!!
I might soil my waders with one of those on the end of the line! :-[keith b
MemberI have heard of the nose trick before (I just need to remember it when I am at the bench).
I too have made an old hanger into a tool, but I need to put some lead on it to help hold it down.keith b
Memberjust had a thought,
what about something like “This is Fly”keith b
MemberClark,
The river is so much better than the song, trust me!
Come on over and we will fish it, and maybe we can get a few other local guys off the board like Zach, Neal, Adam, and maybe one or two I am leaving out to show you how wonderful it really is.keith b
Membergreat pics, and I really liked the ones of the bending rods!
looks like fun on a fly rod!keith b
MemberMy guess is that is would depend on the type of “gear”

MemberI have a Sony Handycam and it has a great picture and it was not 800$
good luck with the demos, and can we see one when you get it finished?keith b
Memberfrom what I have read, some people think that big flies, like an articulated fly can be, will get bitten from the head more than the tail so removing the back hook is not a problem.
keith b
MemberI read something about guys using finishing nails as their second “hook” to attach the material.
Not sure how that would work. I guess they would just put thred over it as well as the front hook to bind them together.Does anyone know of a good tutorial?

MemberAdam,
Nice to see another Marietta guy on here.
What people do not understand (unless they have been to that spot) from you first picture it that the river should be about 1/4 mile closer to the other side than where that picture was taken.keith b
Memberthat is awesome!
I cannot wait until my kids want to do this with me.keith b
