Guys, I have known Shane for quite some time and I don’t doubt the story one bit. He has his clients on big fish consistently. He lives and breathes the Brazos river and spends more time on it, then anyone I know.

I even got this by e-mail in NZ… amazing how news travels these days!

You can judge a man by the size of things which annoy him.

as a youongster my grandfather and I would thumb the bass pro catalogs (that was the only way to get their stuff back then, unless you lived in MO) and I saw a snake lure.
It was a foam head that looked very very real and it floated nose up out of the water.

I don’t think you’d ever want your snake to sink.  Terrestrial snakes tend to float really high on the water when they go for a swim.  Their lungs run almost the length of their body, and they fill them up with air and float right on top.  Its water snakes that tend to get lower in the water and therefore are better swimmers.

You guys need to watch more WFN.

They had Shane Davis the guy in the picture on the last Fish Schtick Podcast available through iTunes or at http://mauromedia.com/ its a entertaining story. They have some videos from the recent Fly Fishing Retailer Show in Denver as well.
