MemberI had the 17-55 f2.8 nikon with D90 combo and it was a very good one.

MemberMy advice would be to get the 55-200 IF you are going to keep the 18-55- it will be cheaper and you will get roughly the same optical performance as the 18-200 VR.

MemberFilm borders can be left in any size image, but the image has to be full frame to get the effect.

MemberI’ve never had any luck scanning B&W from a negative- most people I’ve talked with have thought that the best route to go is to make a 8×10 BW work print (doesn’t have to be perfect, but good) and have that flatbed scanned and you can make further corrections in Photoshop.

MemberMy advice would be even though you may be buying a Sigma lens- go ahead & spend the extra money to get a Nikon teleconverter.

MemberI would check out the new D60 with kit lenses (18-55 af-s VR & 55-200 af-s vr).

MemberNice work- I love looking at the saltwater stuff as I’ve only flyfished for trout- mostly in VT.
