You should have 4 or 5 public take outs, and it is all quality water.
If you fish below Claytor Lake, you will have to learn to work with the releases from the dam.
Just make sure to wear a life vest, the river is not whitewater, but the undertow is very bad and drowns several people each year.John Stanley
