FWIW, Here’s a blog I like by a pretty successful pro photog, and he pretty much thinks it should be called a Nikon FAIL.
A – I like a bit more of the bow arm showing up, as well as the hand and you get a better view of the fingers. The focus point seems to be closer to the rest and site, as opposed to the back cables or something on B.
What’s going on with the top of the bow in A?

and these guys are setting the world on fire in the hunting industry with their video work. its pretty unreal. some timelapses of those windmills would be cool too!
Better question.. is how did he loose half his hair.. oops, I mean face, and continue to eat and maintain that size?
Hey Doug, not getting much of a response on this – so, FWIW, I’ll just say my brother does a lot of video and does everything with Final Cut.
Thanks Zach, a lot of the shots were with a commercial use in mind, but it wasn’t a paid shoot per say. Some did make their way over to orvis, I have no idea if they are going to use any. I really dig the shot you quoted also, its the only one of the whole set I actually printed and have in the house. Only problem for (at least some) commercial use I learned, is the lip gaff is a big no-no. Personally, I think anything that helps you hang on to a pissed off 150 lb fish is a good thing. 🙂

Also.. just make sure whatever the focus of your photo – fish, face whatever, is in full shade and not in the broken light.
Zach, if the temps are cool enough, i would just field dress, and not worry about hanging the deer hang till you get home.
Hey Zach – here’s a couple of things I do – if wading, i am usually trying to fish smaller (in length) sections of water, so if i get there early enough in the light, I wade up one way in the light to verify the path, and then back down in the dark.
