MemberYou guys name the day and where to meet and I’ll bring the boat and the flies.
Just to let you know up front, I do not want or accept any compensation, so don’t even try it.

MemberI would love to. March through late May is my favorite time to fish for big Rainbows. I’m available any day of the week.

MemberHatch 11 or 12 Plus. self cleaning, self lubricating, tested at 45 MPH and didn’t even get warm, maintenance free and if there is ever a problem with your reel, you get it back in a week tops. Not to mention they make the best reels and drag systems on the planet IMHO.
I’m also anti- gel spun, you can seriously hurt yourself if your not careful.

MemberI can understand that. But if I wanted to advertise, I would put my website in my signature, the link to my catalog or so on in my signature.
I do a lot of different videos on different flies and I like to share, that’s the bottom line.

MemberThis is getting blown out of proportion. I’m not trying to “pimp” my fly as the next greatest thing the horn. It works everywhere there’s Baetis, same as a PT or a wonder nymph or a Master Baetis.
I also give Kelly Galloup full credit in my video. I put my name on it to mark a change in the pattern, just like the guy did who put the Mallard Flank on the back fly of the Heifer Groomer and changed It’s name to the Fathead. Kelly Galloup now uses the Fathead and gives that guy credit for doing so.
Kelly Galloup also made the Circus Peanut famous. He did not invent it. It was Russ Madden’s way to tie a Sex Dungeon easier and faster.
I am in the commercial Fly Tying business, that is what I do for a living. If I tie it and it has never been seen, I put my name on it. I’m also a fly designer for MFC and they require it. I also own my own fly manufacturing company and I require it with new patterns I pick up. It put’s a date on the fly and marks it’s inventor. Eventually names disappear from the fly.

MemberI was unaware that a Green Pheasant Tail has a Dubbed thorax, a holographic color core bead or a Chartreuse Holo Tinsel wing case.
I guess I put my name on it because it’s not in any fly catalog I’ve ever seen, and the name Uber was from a friend of mine.
Also people change flies and their designs all the time, just about everything we tie is a knock off from the older greater tiers who started it.
Such as Trina’s Bubble Back Emerger. All it is, is a Pheasant Tail with a dubbed thorax and a PMD fiber wing case.
A person can go on and on about this, but in reality if it’s 20% different in design and no one else has it, it’s yours.

MemberEric,
I did get your message about Kory and sent you an E-mail back.Colin,
This was specifically designed for trout, but I think it will have different applications as well.eric beebe
MemberEric,
The most important thing for throwing streamers on the Horn is the grain weight of your line, not only for how fast it gets down but also for the distance you can throw it. A lot of people bang the banks looking for “The” fish, which is fine, if that’s the case you only need 40 to 50 foot casts, a 6 wt. and a class 6 sink tip. What a lot people don’t realize on the horn is that a lot of the bigger fish like to hold up in the drop off 30 to 40 feet off the bank in slower stretches of the river, which requires a 70 to 90 ft. cast to cover the bank and the drop off. You’re not going to accomplish that with a 6 wt. without a lot of casting. With a faster 8 wt. you can do it with one loading cast. Doing a lot of casting with a 5 inch Streamer is not a good thing and anybody that has hit themselves in the back of the head with one knows what I mean ;D. Rio makes a class 6 line in just about every weight, it doesn’t get down as fast as a 300 grain, but it’s close. So if you go with the 7 weight get the class 6 line with it. Also the Bank Robber is not designed for distance, The TFO rods are a much better choice.

MemberIf you’re looking for big Browns in November these are what you need to throw.

A 300 grain sink tip line is best for getting down fast. Big drop offs and behind the Concrete in the upper three hold the Biggest fish.

Let me know when you get there and I’ll take you down if you’re interested and I’m not workin.
