I was thinking when I had your reel apart that you could design the backside of that drag knob to hold spare screws but aparantly those holes are allready threaded for them and either you or the previous owner has allready used it.
Oh, I just bought some 12 wt lines real cheap in order to make myself buy the reel and a new rod.
No BD, I’ve never used them but I think you might have a good point, once I busted a bunch of guides on the rudder to my kayak which I had forgotten to pull up out of the water while I was trying to land a big redfish that decided to make a run around the back.
Hey check it out, I was re-reading some old magazine in the stack on my toilet and there was an article out redfish in GA.
I really prefrer the flourocarbon leaders because they are stiffer, I think they turn big flies over and they cast better in extreme heat.
Like I said earlier I’ve got no real note-worthy canoe expereince but do keep in mind that outrigger systems can be made or bought fairly cheaply to help stabalize a canoe for times you would really like to stand/fish from it hard-core.
And like I said in that other thread, if you decide you would be willing to ship that thing to a buyer I have personally found Forward Air to be excellent for shipping large things like that.
Well exactly what kind of fishing are you going to be seeing in the day trip range of Atlanta anyway?
I don’t know much about canoes but from kayak shopping I can tell you that there are great deals on used boats online, places like boattrader.com and stuff, just do a google search for “used canoes” I bet you find lots of classified listings.
I have had it happen to some old redington junk, to be fair it had been used in saltwater too though.
