Well arguing with the reel designers is like telling someone they gave their children the wrong name I suppose, so they are definitely inherently right but I do still think its a bit like selling an El Camino as a truck.
And if ya’ll are all that bored get a carpet cutter and start ripping apart torn up and poorly tied flies to get back nice hooks, dumbbell eyes, and other stuff.

I’ve never tied an egg pattern simply because I never fish them (not an elitism thing though, just with as little trout fishing as I do I’ve never had the opportunity), I’m kind of surprised to hear there are so many variations, I thought it was all pretty much one basic style.
Anyway since you guys are talking about breaking thread I think you should give mono thread a shot.
Can you set it to warn you when are about to drive off the side of the road, then lean back, close your eyes and take a nap, that sort of thing?
I what you are looking for is out there, I know someone with one, but I don’t know enough to recommend anything.
Hell, somehow I just managed to make about $300 more than I usually make bartending on a Monday night so I think I’m just going to call it a bonus and spring for the D70.
Yeah I still might wind up going with a D70 but I’ve completely ruled out the D40 for numerous reasons, the most noteworthy being the lack of and LCD screen on top of the body.
No Steven, I’ve never seemed to gain much from the whole club thing; but then I’ve never been to one of that particular group’s meetings so perhaps I’m just being stubborn.
