It’s but a shadow of it’s former glory right now but you might see my ugly mug popping up in some of these once I rig this tripod like thing onto the ‘yak.

I haven’t touched the glass in a while but it’s funny you mention it because I was just thinking about how I’d like to use that rod again last night.

Kids really get a kick out of fishing with dynamite, you’ll want to pack some whiskey too.

They say in the “magazine” (or whatever it is) that the month’s theme for the layout was “the 60’s”….

I can’t even bring myself to read the content to find any controversy, the whole thing is like looking at a dropped pizza while on a bad acid trip.

To be fair they did say the theme was “the 60’s”.

Hey Gary, as someone who got out of college right before the big Wikipedia boom I can only imagine the craziness that comes across your desks nowadays.

I don’t think you’ve got to worry about that much, a carp is still something I’ve not yet caught and It’s likely not going to happen soon what with all the redfish around me.

the crazy thing is that I bet that would really work.

uhhhh, I just thought it was a funny story, not really sure how we are supposed to compare stinky Chacos over the internet. Not sure if I want to really but I can asure you they smell like shit and the beard hasn’t been trimed in four months though.

No, actually I remembered something from way back about fishing and your divorce, and god knows my fishing has pissed off plenty of women.  Still I’d bet that had you stayed married you’d not have left her on the delivery table, but maybe you would have I dunno.

One of my buddies brought a pair of Chacos back to the shop once to get sent back to be warrantied but they wound up calling him back and just giving him a new pair off the shelf because when the rep came by they smelled so bad he didn’t even want to touch them.

Dang, you guys are too quick for me.

I’m still trying to digest exactly what went down in that Lefty Kreh, interview.  The hippie comment was hilarious (and my hair is probablly longer than Jill’s right now and my Chacos are definitely smelling worse than a john).  Then he goes to “I have no favorite group or song” and having biological warfare agents cultivated from his body.  It’s like a hipper, fly fishing, Dick Cheney or something.  Crazy.

This mag targets the dudes that would leave their wife on the delivery room table because their buddy called and said the Salmon Flies are popping on the Hank.

But see, you aren’t REALLY going to do that when the chips are down any more than the guys who read the printed magazines but don’t actually fish a lot are ever going to actually go anywhere from the “destination” pieces.

It’s still shameless marketing to the audience’s sentiments, so to each his own.  I agree this is one of the most refreshing things to come out in a while though.  I still think the Drake is much better but then these guys are 3 for 0 getting it out monthly while the Drake still arrives via Unicorn-Express so that’s got to count for something.

Definitely more interesting than any catalogue I’ve read lately though.  I think the way Gordon Churchill’s piece on the gill netting integrates the video into the story is the first thing that shows the full potential of this sort of deal.  The mix tape thing kicks ass though, and I’m intrigued by the monthly “theme” concept as well.
