Cameron MortensonMemberYeah know Moosedog…I respect the video work that these fellows do…but from a business sense…you have to wonder what these fellows are thinking.
Cameron MortensonMemberMoosedog…did the Trout Bums fellows have Volume II ready for sale at the Film Fest last night?
Cameron MortensonMemberPoudreRiver…GREAT looking pack.
Cameron MortensonMemberZach…I agree with you that many a road/fishing trip begin and end with NPR broadcasting.
Cameron MortensonMemberSteve…do you have a shoe cobbler around in your parts?
Cameron MortensonMemberSplitshot…I want to see (not smell) a photograph of that yak sweater…ha.
Cameron MortensonMemberThis advice comes from a guy that has been to Seattle twice…ever…but back in 2005 we spent a couple of days in the Lake Cowichen area of Vancouver Island and fished with a guide for chinooks, chum, and coho. It was epic. At that time he was saying that he was going to start running some spring trips on the ocean for coho. Check him out at http://www.kenzies.com. We stayed at his lodge…and it was a great experience for the wife and I. He also does trout trips…float plane trips to back country areas…etc…etc… He offers a quality experience on wilderness water.
Though we didn’t fish there…but there is some fly fishing to do…Tofino on the Western coast of Vancouver Island was everything that you expect B.C. to be. We stayed at the Long Beach Resort which is right on the ocean. It is by far one of the nicest places we’ve ever stayed at.
If you are into coffee at all…then check out one of several coffee shops called Vivace. There is one right across the street from REI and two others close by that area. They take coffee to a new level…like when pouring the cream into your Cafe Mocha they make fern leaves around the rim of the cup. Amazing. By far the best Cafe Mocha(s) I’ve ever had.Just my two cents worth…
Cameron MortensonMemberSilver Doc…this hurt my perception of the company…but Filson IS sending work off shore.
Cameron MortensonMemberFor wool fans…Smartwool came out with long underwear tops and bottoms that look to be well built though a bit pricey.
Cameron MortensonMemberI too am waiting for Volume II…though I am not expecting it to be sent Feb. 1st.
Cameron MortensonMemberI’ve been kind of surprised to see Under Armor making a go at angling clothing.
Cameron MortensonMemberOK…I take my first choice back…I like the second photo of the second set posted.
Cameron MortensonMemberHey…congrats on all the new gear and toys.
Cameron MortensonMemberGreat photographs.
Cameron MortensonMemberJohn…I’ve had the same problem. I’ve looked a few places like Michael’s and a bead store or two with no luck. I am usually wearing a collared shirt when fishing so I just tuck the lanyard under the collar anyways.
eye2fish…I put the whistle on my lanyard while living in Colorado.
Cameron MortensonMemberThanks for the comments Zach.
Cameron MortensonMemberfree-man…I’d look at the Scott G2 and the Winston WT.
Cameron MortensonMemberfishmich…I have a Mountainsmith Tour lumbar pack (it is a generation or two back from the one they offer today).
Cameron MortensonMemberYeah…the Saluda River flowing out of Lake Murray is a weird river that no one really cares about.
Cameron MortensonMemberIf I only had $800 sitting around…that is a heck of a deal on a sweet looking pontoon.
