MemberCentral PA as Neil suggested is probably the best place in the east.
Year round fishing, wild fish , excellent hatches, you can find rising trout every day of the year.
anonymous
MemberI just read “Into the Wild” by Jon Krakauer.
You may have seen the movie recently, I haven’t.

MemberThanks guys.
I haven’t made a purchase yet, but have been looking.

MemberZach,
On another thread I read that you may be interviewing James Prosek, is this accurate?
anonymous
MemberI was introduced to Prosek one early morning while thumbing through the channels. I landed on ESPN 2 and watched “The Complete Angler”, I have only been more jealous once in my life, and that was watching my best friend kiss the first girl I had a crush on. My daughter takes her copy of A Good Day’s Fishing to school for show and tell, sometimes she likes to take Trout of the World too. Great writing even better art.

MemberHey Jason.
I’ve spent quite a bit of time in the darkroom, and I love to develop b+w film and manipulate and make my own b+w prints.

MemberI have been rereading James Prosek lately. Am I his only fan aside from Nick Lyons? I see so few people mention him.

MemberThough I am not a big fan of Knoxville itself (Do they still have the large pile of mulch that smells so good?) I would have to agree that the general area is the best.

MemberEric,
Be careful that the popsicle sticks don’t splinter and end up caught in his throat.

MemberVery compelling essay, Kendall. I’m glad you shared it.

MemberWill – if you are not already doing so, try rechargeable batteries. I’ve heard the 2500mah AAs NiMH recycle a flash faster than normal throw away batteries. I’ve not done actual comparisons, but believe they do recycle faster.
My canon does 5fps and with a full charge, my 580 flash can almost keep up. Some of it, though, obviously depends on the flash.

MemberWestern PA is nice.
