Other favorites of mine were Farley Mowat’s “Never Cry Wolf”.
I thought the movie was also fabulous.
Recently our family listened to Rascal by Stirling North, another great book. It has a great section about an uncle who fly fishes. My Daughter is reading some of Jim’s books now.
“Rascal” was also a favorite.
I like a lot of music – some of my favorites are the old country artists, but try as I might, I just didn’t feel like Ernest Tubb or Merle Haggard worked with these videos.
Lately, I’ve been using a rusty red thing with a short rabbit fur tail, some rubber legs, a bit of palmered hackle to make it buggier, and bead chain eyes, all tied on short “egg pattern” hooks.
i’m fairly familiar with those “difficult” nights.
Apparently, one should choose EITHER bourbon OR Scotch, but not both, if banjo picking’ is on the agenda.

Aaron- I’m in the Granville area.
Ideally I’d like to be taking my fishing into the full dark hours… I definitely see the most activity in the hour before sunset and I imagine that continues after the sun is on down.

I don’t know if these freshwater fish are different, but I’d assume not…in which case, I suspect you’re right.
I’ve got a master’s in Zoology and Wildlife Science from Auburn, and it ain’t helped me catch that bass yet.
