More carp fishing videos

I’ve made a couple more short videos, possibly the last of the season since work will pick up soon, water will cool, and I think I’m starting to run up against the limits of my abilities given my meager technological tools (simple camera and lightweight tripod).

Here are two fishing videos, followed by a light-hearted commentary on one of the current fly fishing fashion trends.

i love the videos andrew. these mud bones have been haunting me for the past month or so since i started chasing them. If you dont mind disclosing, what is your “go-to” fly ?

Lately, I’ve been using a rusty red thing with a short rabbit fur tail, some rubber legs, a bit of palmered hackle to make it buggier, and bead chain eyes, all tied on short “egg pattern” hooks.

Good times.  Interesting cover–I never paid much attention to the Black Keys.  You can poke fun at buffs and I’ll be OK with it.

I like a lot of music – some of my favorites are the old country artists, but try as I might, I just didn’t feel like Ernest Tubb or Merle Haggard worked with these videos.

Cool videos. And you are right the fly is far less important than a willing carp and a good first cast. Be glad to help anyone looking for their first carp.
