Interesting, and not very surprising.
Once the R&D costs are recouped on the initial run of a camera, it makes perfect sense for the sensor to go down the line and into lesser bodies.

Those kits aren’t really well configured for our Eastern needs; they tend to include the materials to tie a bunch of dry flies for out west.
What you need to do is start out by buying some stuff under the guidance of a shop guy you trust.
I won’t embarass him too much but I spent some time with Marshall recently and it’s a little like being around a retired rock star.
I’ve seen #14 Griffith’s Gnats and a variation called a Crackleback do very well in Missouri, for some reason.
Best entry level rod is very subjective, but if I were buying again, it’d be either a TFO or a St. Croix Reign or Triumph, from the Pro Graphite bloodline.
