That’s where you want to be!
Very cool to see- never seen a mom with cubs, even from a vehicle.
Did you use grad filters on those mountain landscapes?
Jason
HA! i wish i could afford grad nd’s Most were just with a polarizer and a few had an ND8.
That was the 2nd time on that trip i saw a mom with cubs. The first time my ISO was not high enough 🙁

The simms dry creek daypack is great! I use it all the time throwing in a rainjacket, lunch, a few large C&F boxes and the dslr w/50mm. You can also use any of their dry creek chest packs attached to the front of it. But i perfer just the pack. I really like how you can store your fly rod tubes in it if you have to hike through some bushy stuff or are like me and use it with a bike sometimes.
here is a picture from a bike fishing trip the otherday i used it on!

MemberFor general camera reviews, I use http://www.dpreview.com. For lenses, I use dpreview and http://www.the-digital-picture.com.
I avoid consumer reviews. I could be wrong, but I assume most know less than me.
AMEN!!! dpreview was great in helping me purchase my DSLR and i always use the digital picture for any lens choices!

Memberone thing to keep in mind if you really like photography and ever intend on going full frame even if it is a few years out purchase lenses that will work on both cameras. It is what i am doing and really like it. so i just got my prime, telephoto, and wide angle so it would work on full frame also but are great lenses on a crop frame.
i do have the 17-40 and absolutly love it. If a new lens comes out then the price on the current L wide angles will drop. which could be good!
