Tim AngeliMemberI was told you squeeled like a little girl.
There is potentially a bit of truth in that. I believe ‘like an 8 year old girl at a Justin Beiber concert’ is how I described my reaction. Good fish though…and on a dry no less… 😉

Tim AngeliMemberDid you try the microfocus settings to get that 17-40 dialed in?
No, I haven’t tried that.
Tim AngeliMemberGlad you guys enjoyed the photos.
Tim AngeliMemberIf that’s the pool I think it is, it’s a @*#$ of a drift!
Tim AngeliMemberNice fish.

Tim AngeliMemberAnyone remember that Ohio Steelhead DVD from the Fly Fishing Film Tour a few years ago?
It was a segment from RA Beattie’s Off the Grid. I’m pretty sure the fisherman were Brett McCrae and Jim Lampros, both of whom were IA members at one point, but haven’t been active here for a while.
Tim AngeliMember😀 Amazing!
Tim AngeliMemberGlad you guys enjoyed some of the photos, and thanks for the compliments. The trip reports and photo essays are my favorite part of this board, so I try to do my part and share some goods when I manage to get out on the water.
Do you recall what you learned at the conference?
Received a Young Investigator Award, so the conference was worthwhile too. It was a good week.
I met up with Simon last night and got a couple of his photos from the trip. Had to censor a bit to protect the innocent…

Photo credit: Simon ChuAnd I almost forgot the obligatory food shot. Venison backstraps courtesy of some good ol’ southland boys that we bumped into coming off the river.

You know you’re in Southland when…

And finally, a few shots from Simon’s famous Trout Cottage:

Tim AngeliMemberIt sounds like the ideal NZ line.
Tim AngeliMemberNice photos CB.
Tim AngeliMemberThanks guys.
Tim AngeliMemberI’m been anxiously awaiting this report, and it definitely did not disappoint.
Tim AngeliMemberThe traction of rubber soles is no where near as good as felt. Studs help, but still don’t make up the difference.
