Zach – Kent Edmonds http://www.flyfishga.comchases GAR on a fly down in Lagrainge on the Hooch.  I think he also fishes the Coosa river system for them.  As for lakes in the area,  you can fish for them on Lake Allatoona just north of Atlanta

As in my last statement – my most enjoyment does come from a fish other than a PFP. I would rather work hard for a 10 inch fish on the dry fly than to throw a bugger at a PFP.

I agree with Zach – determining what rod is best is very subjective. But in my experience, based on a majority of the casting styles out there, Ive had a lot of luck putting the Scott A2 in peoples hands. This is assuming that an entry level rod is not determined by price alone. The A2 is a great first rod and one that you will not outgrow.
