Right now from there through Pensacola is really heating up and with the additional fact that there hasn’t been much rain north the water is unussually clear and good for sight fishing.

go to any of the hard ware stores while youre in the area that you’re saltwater fishing and check and see what they have. I imagine somewhere like west arine has numerous products for that same problem.

I think if trout country saw even more of what warm water fly fishing has to offer it would be even better. Great stuff! I have always wanted to fish Musky, now I am even more stoked about the idea.

Thanks Zach, I appreciate the cliff notes! This really reminds me of the Coosa here in Alabama, which I beleive starts in Georgia.

Though my fshing for striped bass has been limited to large rivers I will definately give this a try and see what I can come up with out there this summer. Inland striper fisherman are a closed lip group, and I am sure that the GWFF really appreciated your helpful advice and tips. Keep up the good work.

I think that thing tied on a size eight and a 3 weight would equal all day fun in bream pond. I might even get crazy and use a sinking black ant under it as a southeren hopper dropper.

After that I would imagine I might feel a fish fry coming on. πŸ˜‰

Looks good to me I just wish it was in black in red or white and chartruese. I will copy it ASAP.

Zach I hope you can manage to find the name of the fly so I can give credit where it is due.

Of all the stuff, I say we allow them to use only neck hackle (as I don’t use it).

Great stuff Zach, I really wish that this video had been around when I started fly-fishing. I wouldn’t let the folks at the shop set mine up and it took me forever to see how all of it was supposed to go together.

A video like this would have made my life much simpler. The trick with the nail knot was very cool!

Oh and my family has done their arbor knot the same way as long as I can remember, from baitcaster to fly reel.

    Thanks for the video,
    Peter E.

The reel size was definately something that I was wondering about. I had a feeling that reel would need to be bigger to accomidate the bigger shootung heads. I will definately be checking all of these pages out. I appreciate all of your help and will be posting picts as this journey for me unfolds.

Hopefully this coming winter I can put an invite out for striper fishing with two handed rods.
