Reading the Hopper Juan blog site I was shocked but not suprised that hackle is starting to become in short supply.

Of all the stuff, I say we allow them to use only neck hackle (as I don’t use it).

    That could be bad…

Its true….there have been some ladies visiting the local fly shop in search of feathers…No worries though…I already have a good supply.

We’ve been hit hard at Tailwaters here in Dallas. Big city + lots of weird chicks + lots of hair dressers = NO HACKLE! We have had to special order tons of it. I’m not complaining, these girls are buying more than our average fly tier.

A friend of mine’s wife showed up with some hackle in her hair. She has gotten real big into hula hooping. Apparently, all of those chicks are into the hackle hair. What a waste.
