I use a Dynatran Carbon Fiber Tripod (don’t recall the model off the top of my head) with a Fiesol Ball Head that I was lucky enough to purchase for $75 for the entire setup.

If you look hard on ebay, you can find dynatran stuff on sale fairly cheap and I really like my tripod.  Below is a link to a quick search that I ran on Ebay for “Carbon Tripod”

I think it was called Outlaw Creek or Spillway Creek.  It is an overflow tailwater.  It drops like 130′ over the mile of stream but does have fish in it.
