John StanleyMemberHere is a link to the opening of streams in the GSMNP. http://www.knoxnews.com/news/local-news/trout07_93857100
John StanleyMemberThe weekend looks warmer.
John StanleyMemberYou fishing in Georgia, or other locations?
John StanleyMemberThat is a epic fish story. Good job.
John StanleyMemberI must say I have only good things to say about the 2010 F-150 Lariat, 4 door, with 5.4 liter engine. It will tow your boat with ease. It has the road trips to allow me to trust it. From 2011 to present it has made two trips, Virginia to Montana and back, and one trip from from Virginia to the North Fork of the White and back. The mileage, on interstate, will be 17 to 18 mpg.
John StanleyMemberAbove or below Claytor Dam?
John StanleyMemberYou going to run the test with dry ice?
John StanleyMemberI am wanting a new filson jacket for mountain trout streams.
John StanleyMemberIs Jazzi your good luck charm, for putting toothy fish in the boat?
John StanleyMemberYou may want to pick up some foam terrestrials. Black and brown ants are all good options, it helps to get ones with some type of indicator on the back, for low light conditions.
Some of the larger foam beetles can be used in a “dry-dropper” set up.
John StanleyMemberHow does the dachshund like the new boat?
John StanleyMemberThank you, Mr. Cline. I am heading up to Ennis in a week, so I am just worried on the water levels. Looks like I will be needing to be up early and be ready to get out of the boat.
John StanleyMemberMr. Cline, I hate to ask you to predict the future, but I am going to make that request. Are they going to be putting limits and/or close the upper Madison between Hebgen and Ennis Lake?
John StanleyMemberWhen fishing for smallmouth the item to look for is rocks.
Small to medium rock in the in river bed will hold crawdads, and this will attract smallmouth.
In the mountains you will want to look for rock ledges or small waterfalls, these are excellent places to work streamers.
In regards to “bucket biologist” that is a long tradition in Virginia. Such famous smallmouth rivers as the: James, Potomac and the Shenandoah were stocked with smallmouth by the 1870’s.
John StanleyMemberYou fishing upstream or downstream of Bluestone Dam?
John StanleyMemberZach, look at the bright side, Lake Lanier is at full summer pool. This will keep Atlanta with fresh water, for few weeks.
