i dont think you want the whole tippet section to sink when fishing dries…thin flouro tippet won’t automatically sink as soon as it hits the water either…needs a little help and when it does break the film then yes it sinks faster which is bad IMO…now you have the tippet section sinking below that meniscus area which i think results in drag…I use mono tippet for dries and will sometimes just rub a little dirt /mud on the last 6″ to sink a bit….thats it though.
not worth paying 3.5x more for it!…i say no need for flouro in standard type trout fishing. I will use it sometimes when great lake steelheading but thats it….
no lie, i was opening a bag of chips at work when i opened this thread…not quite dry heeving here but queezy….still eating the chips though….too bad for both
Ah..now I can see your point!!…sorry to be off topic but I hate how beer stores now charge extra for cold beer. (atleast in PA)
great pictures…im salivating, amazing looking food….good work on taking the 6mos old out…i was too scared too try that with my son…although i guess a beach would be easier to navigate….
that got me pumped up for my carpin’ tomorrow….great video and music…i just started carpin’ next to my house and its awesome. Wish I started earlier….

Great article i enjoyed it. Are there issues with materials coming from in and out of the US though? Im talking invasive type species. I know we have stinkbugs, beetles etc that made its way over….Also, wheres the rest of the friggin “Secret Spring Creeks” Article?…let me guess…..its a secrect!

Im almost positive the otters soft egg is not allowed in some FFO sections of the great lake tribs (NY) …..but yeah it is “tied” so it should be fine….we’ll see this fall!those look killer, hell i’d eat one!…I wonder if Fly Fish Only zones would allow them….im guessing probably not but I’ll check the places i frequent…
