    Zach,

I’d love to see you put a block of ice in each….and see which one fared the best. To me…that is a major factor.

    Steve –

I am going to do that as soon as it gets above 80 reliably, which it ought to fairly soon.

That should be a better test as it would make the ratio the control for your experiment.

The bulk of the conversation when it comes to high end ice chests is about keeping things cold, but there is a whole other end of the spectrum for when it comes to cooking things  Sous-verd style.

You’re not the only one. Seriously. Who would actually consider this?

We haven’t had a 100 degree day here in Ohio for 2 years but how many did Dallas have in a row last year. I think location has a lot to do with it.

Ah..now I can see your point!!…sorry to be off topic but I hate how beer stores now charge extra for cold beer. (atleast in PA)

If you live in a hurricane zone you quickly learn to appreciate a good cooler.

How do the latches on the brute box work?

I’ve always thought a big contributor to the Yeti’s longevity are the rubber latches that cinch the lid tight against the gasket.  Do the brute box latches work in a way to keep the lid equally snug against the gasket?

The Brute Box coolers have a metal closure which is “rubberized” over it.

There are a number of chests that will Keep Ice Longer, but the Yeti is Wildly Stronger.
