MemberDon’t most of the float tubing anglers on that stretch of the river have a different species of fish in mind? So they are working every “Shoal” and pocket they pass as they float through. Probably not thinking like a striper fishermen. Ups and downs of a diverse fishery.

MemberThanks Steve. I’m an ATL native, born and raised. Of course my name probably doesn’t sound like a Southern Boy. Mom and Dad are originally from England. I live up in the Roswell/Woodstock Area. Your Avatar looks really familiar. Are you on NGTO too? My handle over there is esb’s daddy. I was looking through Zach’s Gheenoe Mods Thread earlier. Noticed you are a Gheenoe Guy too. I have an older HS thats is original, no mods. Need to get it on the H2O more often.

MemberHands down, my favorite foam patterns to fish are Kent’s Stealth Bomber and Todd’s Wiggle Minnow. Fun to tie and their action is awesome

MemberI use super glue to fuse two pieces together, then a very small drop to attached to hook that has a thread base. then a very thin layer of brushable CCG. Holds up great

MemberJust spent the last hour looking through this thread. Awesome job, Zach! I would love to do this to my ’95 Highsider but would not have any idea how to do it. Plus, for now with a 3 and 6 year old, it a lot easier to have them sitting on the benches when they go out with me. Oh, a boy can dream though

MemberMost of the time I just use colored foam or flip flop and don’t worry about coloring. When I do paint, I have found colored nail polishes work really well, plus you don’t have to worry about brushes as its already in the bottle. Sally Hansen has some great colors for poppers. Just have to deal with the funny looks you get when buying a bunch of nail polish
