Yeah, i’m cooking a bunch of stuff up, basically just transfering some of my marsh redfish flies over to freshwater streamer hooks and using more neutral colors.
I think I’m going to tie some things like that up and then take my kayak and a 6/7 weight out on the Little Red after the holiday stuff dies down at work.
I dont fish for trout very often and I haven’t been familiar with what a zuddler is untill now though I’ve heard the name thrown around a few times.
And sorry, I read over the part at the begining where you specify flouro tippet materials, I thought you just meant flouro in general.
Why not just use mono that is one X lower (=thicker / stiffer)?
because I want it stiffer but not thicker,(sounds like a viagra comercial or something) plus I’m not talking about stuff rated in X’s, I’m talking 8lb to 20 lb test range.
I don’t really fish the small stuff that much so I don’t think I can’t really speak for the visibility issue.

I agree cork is probablly not the best grip for casting big rods all day (I usually wear leather palmed sungloves to make up for some of this).
Read it again, even worse the second time around.
He actually admits they wound up comparing all the other rods in terms of how they stacked up to the “benchmark rods”, the Z Axis and the Streamdance.
thats easily changed by uplining though, another thing this side by side comparison doesn’t take into account.

I didn’t really like them when they came out but now I think they are kind of cool, less flashy than the crazy Abel finishes.
I remember Cabelas unloading those for cheap at one point but I’d say thats a fair price on a good set up.
What are you replacing it with?
