I know that Sam Drukman of Sweetgrass rolled all of the fiberglass rod blanks this past spring and the six weight that they sent for me to demo was very nice.

It’s a tough choice to just pick one since there are so many contenders in the mix.

Joe Roope of Castaway Fly Fishing Shop has recently taken over distribution of LOOP gear in the U.S. With that he adopted a warehouse full of LOOP gear that he needs to move before the 2010 gear arrives. Dave…I’ve kind of got a thing for old school clickers too and have pointed my collection to the J.W. Young reels out of England.
Well…as most of are beginning a few days off for Thanksgiving I thought I’d remind everyone that both the children and adult coloring contests on the Fishy Kid website are winding down.

I’ve got a Steffen fiberglass 8 1/2 foot 5/6 weight on order that Gypsy Rod Works is building for me. I don’t own a Mario rod but there are a lot of nice examples on the Fiberglass Flyrodders website.
Oh… I almost forgot the Japanese yellow Fenwick’s wehich are very nice glass rods for the money depending on the Yen exchange rate…
