What exactly did you do and what tool did you use?
Nomad, in Lightroom I reduced the highlights and increased the blacks slightly. Don’t know if there is a way to do that selectively in Lightroom. I’ll have to play with it some more in photoshop when I get time.

I had been shooting in the shadows with 100mm macro, at 800 ISO. When I moved out into the light I got this scene and just in time to get it before the other boat moved and everything changed. So it was shot at 800 ISO. If I had been on my toes, I would have dropped the ISO down and had a better image to work with.
Will, here are some detail shots of my boat:
From the bottom up, outside gunwale, 1/4 sapele ply side panel (5 layer ply), filler block of the transom knee, sheer rail (just visible).
Zach, don’t know if it is an issue with others. But while you are working on new styling and such thought I would mention it. I often don’t log in until I want to post. When I do log in it kicks me back out to the main menu and then I have to find the thread again to post. Is there an option in your settings to let people log in and stay in thread?
No biggy. Maybe an issue to investigate sometime.

They are a pain to shoot, I chased one all over for about half an hour once and got zip..
That’s when I gave up on insects.. ;D
You gave up too soon, David. It takes at least 4-5 hours of holding a fly out on the end of your extended finger, before you can get a decent shot. This one finally came in licking his chops. ::)

Enjoy that little rig now, Will, because those bugs you’ve been photographing are going to start searching you out.
Tim, remind me to ignore you when you moan in posts about your photos being crap and not ever turning out.
