Nice work Adam. I used to tour as a musician in my earlier days… and had the opportunity to work in a guitar shop that was in the area since the 1950s. i had a sweet spot for old guitars, even back in the 1980s. That said, I have come across many fantastic guitars and amps over the years, before the big vintage boom in the 90s. I’m pretty lucky to own a few still….some of the quality sucks on this stuff… Here is a sampling of some of the good stuff, which is guarded by big locks and no keys..mr. S&W…etc…
My main squeeze, “Ole Yeller” who still gets alot of play time. 1958 Fender telecaster with ES150 neck pickup. (and “Annie” 1944 Ford 2n). She was abused in her earlier years… someone dug her neck pocket out for a humbucker, which over the years I replaced with an original pickup, then the CC. The tone is to die for, the guitar weighs less than 6 pounds. When I got it, the paint was pretty darn near perfect. Over the years it has worn alot.
