MemberI am an avid guitar player and I took a few minutes to snap some shots of guitars today, as the light through the front door was perfect.
A well crafted guitar is truly a work of art and I tried to capture a few classics in an artistic manner (to the best of my photographic ability!).
Here are a few of my favorites that I hope you enjoy.

Curtis BiasMemberThe Tele and Princeton combo is just perfect in my opinion.
I like the ES 175 as well. The Bigsby is a nice touch!I’ve been playing for 29 years and teach visual art, math, reading, and guitar to students for a living. I am fond of hollowbody guitars and play a 1986 Stratocaster, Custom Shop Tele, a Gretsch Country Club, and Gretsch Acoustic. At one point, I had so many guitars that I couldn’t maintain all of them. I narrowed down to my favorite 4 instruments .
Lets just say that I am obsessed with fly fishing and guitars.

MemberNice work Adam. I used to tour as a musician in my earlier days… and had the opportunity to work in a guitar shop that was in the area since the 1950s. i had a sweet spot for old guitars, even back in the 1980s. That said, I have come across many fantastic guitars and amps over the years, before the big vintage boom in the 90s. I’m pretty lucky to own a few still….some of the quality sucks on this stuff… Here is a sampling of some of the good stuff, which is guarded by big locks and no keys..mr. S&W…etc…
My main squeeze, “Ole Yeller” who still gets alot of play time. 1958 Fender telecaster with ES150 neck pickup. (and “Annie” 1944 Ford 2n). She was abused in her earlier years… someone dug her neck pocket out for a humbucker, which over the years I replaced with an original pickup, then the CC. The tone is to die for, the guitar weighs less than 6 pounds. When I got it, the paint was pretty darn near perfect. Over the years it has worn alot.

The guy that I bought my 175 from back in 99′ had a 335 as well that my friend bought. He brought them into the store that we worked at and the the store did not need them at the time. The 175 is a 1967 and the 335 was a 1967 which we purchased for $900 each. I hung onto mine and he immediately flipped his and made $1000, however its easily a $4000-6000 guitar now and he kicks himself for selling it.

Bob RigginsMemberYou guys better hide those guitars, the Feds may be after you. They raided Gibson Guitars last week claiming that the wood they were using was in violation of India and Madigascar laws (even though they have proof it was harvested legally). According to news reports, owners of guitars could be criminally liable. According to the Feds, the solution is to close the American plants and ship the jobs overseas. Ah, Big Brother at work.

MemberBob, I heard about that! Im lucky in that my Gibsons are all from the 60’s.
I don’t see Gibson going overseas, they and fender are the hallmark of American guitar manufacturers.
