I was thinking about heading out to some moving water… I missed the trout opener and have just been streamer fishing for bass and what ever else comes along. But with the bass opener this weekend and with the long weekend I have a feeling the fish are going to get pushed back in to the deep.

Are you wading/floating or drifting?

Hey Guys,

I’m new around these parts (ducks for cover), but I figured I’d toss my hat in the water.

My wife asked me this morning if I would MIND if she took the kids over the long weekend to visit her family( She also wanted to know if I would have some cash for her to take). I contained myself long enough to assure her that it would be ok with me.

So, the plans at this point are smallmouth and whatever else on the Upper Huron for Saturday,carp and white bass on the Maumee for Sunday and Monday after the Parade hit the club lake with the float tube for pan fish. With any luck I’ll have a picture of my first carp on a fly for Mike.

Anyone else have a hall pass for the weekend? If your going to be near Toledo, Ohio let me know I’ll buy the first round at the Waterville tavern.
