Anyone know… Are they gamey tasting? I had never heard of one of these things. The fillet looks like a cross between tilapia and tuna.
Dave – I didn’t see any wood boats on the main but there was one at the west branch angler where I was staying for the weekend.
One of the coolest things that ever happened to me on this board was a few years back when I asked the community if TFO had any plans to put out rod blanks.
There is a gov. project in NC to see if Truffles can be productively grown on in that area, and there is a guy from Asheville who sells inoculate trees.

I did some research a few years back for west coast trips but I’m seriously lacking ideas on the east coast for a wilderness camping float trip.
There is also new research showing that we’re in an emergent warm water trend that will put down striper numbers for the next thirty five years.
I would also add that you really shouldn’t be scared to refinish the rod, and you will probably have to.

For whatever reason my search on the tamron site took me to an entirely different place – one that was significantly less helpful.Packet chicken, instant rice, freeze dried peas/corn, etc (harmony house is a good place to grab freeze dried items), spices*.
