MemberI recently purchased my wife a new digital camera. She took this photo at Fall Creek Falls in Tennessee. She call’s it “What fish?“. I’m the cute guy on the left. By the way all the guys in the photo are fly fishermen from Louisiana. I guess that tells it all…

Can you tell me how you made the pic that has a ‘bow in color and the borders are b & w? I have photoshop cs, version 8 I think, and i tried to find it on that with no success.

MemberDusty,
It is very simple in photoshop.
You select the center of interest first. using seletion tool on your upper left corner of screen (Rectangular Marquee tool).
Then go to”Select” directory, chose (Inverse). Then you are selecting the “outside” of your interest.
Then go to the “Image” hit the Hue/Saturation adjust the desire saturation…That’s it!

Membermatt– very cool poster. I’d buy one!
okay, so my contribution is so low brow compared to the cool, artistic entries in this thread. but I thought I’d share a picture of my TROUT CUPCAKE. I won’t bore you with the whole story of WHY I was decorating fishing-themed cupcakes, but if you’re curious you can read about it here:

Ben CochranMemberWOW! You guys have some great talents posted in this thread!!
Matt, I consider myself to be pretty proficient with the PS suite but when it comes to drawing, I can barely draw my name. I even tried the “draw by numbers” kits but my final results always looked like number 2 😮 I am amazed at the works that some can create in the software and yours too, simply amazes me! I like that a lot!!!
Christine, liked your blog, fun reads! Like them little cakes and guess I would have to throw out the old catch and release pledges and go the keep and eat route.. Glad you kept the heads on too, so we can check the eyes and gills to make sure they are fresh 😉

Friends, this is a FF kids’ book worth your attention… if you need a gift for your little friends…I re-read the little olive with my friend today. I really really love this little book, the illustrations are so great and text are just “warm” some terms like “long distance release” really crank me up, I am sure all the kids will love it. I have to say I was inspired by the whole story and whole theme! There are not much good fishing book/movie for kids. This book remind me my all time favorite book/TV show – Huckleberry Finn -Mark Twain … a good book for kids indeed…Attached a painting inspried by my new hero- Little Olive… Yuhina
