Bob –
Is that more true with conventional rods just because of how stout they are to begin with?

By the way it is not ready for prime time, yet, but this is where we are going with this board:

Just have to figure out how to migrate all our past posts from YaBB to WordPress (and also get some layout things dialed in).
Those are awesome Jay.
I’m going to bounce them over to the main board as they are more of a trip report and more people look over there.

Roy I obviously didn’t get to Atlanta until about 2006 but I did try to quantify what was lost.
In terms of turbidity it’s not uncommon for a pristine trout stream like some of Montana’s water to rate in the <0.5 NTU range. (Drinking water is typically 0.1 NTU).
Below Morgan Falls Dam it’s usually assumed the river is “fishable” any time it is below 10.0 NTU.
This is more recent, hunting with Scott and Nautiluss rep James Buice (who is an even better turkey hunter than he is a fly fisherman):

That’s a link to a hilarious video.
I can’t wait for low water and clear flows.
Kent I keep telling Clay Smith he needs to head over to Sprewell Bluff for some shoal bass action.
Guys –
The board has been experiencing some minor technical difficulties lately and a few people have been getting locked out.
But it has also been somewhat dead because we’re in the lull between winter tying season and actual warm-weather fishing, and a lot of rivers around the country are blown out with rain right now.
