    Hey Scott –

The new AGFC website is awesome. I spend a lot of time delving DNR sites around the country for a column I do in American Angler and I can say without hesitation that the Arkansas one is the best.

Can you answer a question for me Scott?

All right, guys, we’re banging right along now:

This week on The Itinerant Angler Podcast: The Angling Exploration Group!

Well, guys, I’m sorry the transition broke this up so long, but I went ahead and completed the show with the tools I had at hand and I will be posting it later tonight!

I’m very excited about what this Mac can do and if you listen carefully you’ll hear just a little of its ability in the new transitions; I sound like I’m in a tin can because I had to use the on-computer mike, but I’ll have that resolved before the next episode, which will most likely come your way in early January.

    1) What are you doing in DC and 2) how far are you from the Smokies?

    Tim –

The first mile or so of the State Park is closed right now for the spawn and will be until like January 31st or something.

That is precisely how you get to an AFTMA rating, Lou.

The most interesting thing to me about that article is not that they conclude any particular rod is better at any particular thing, but that no rod was more than 10% off the norm in any category.

The only thing I preach is this: they all get the job done.

    Pancho –

I ordered them online, through Simms’ website.

I got ordinary felt – they work fine for me.

I just ordered the Simms L2s.

Probably either the Simms Freestones (and save you some money), or the Simms L2 or Riverwalker or whatever, or the LL Bean hiking-boot style boots (don’t know name) if they had a felt bottom, which I don’t think they do.

I am currently only about 50% ready to play thanks to my Cloudveil boots.

    Tim –

You should be able to attach them at the bottom of every post window (although this software only allows one pic per post currently).

    Hey Dunfly –

Probably either November, when the browns are spawning and all the fish in the river crowd the shoals to eat the eggs, or in February, when the shad kill comes through the Dam and the big fish rise to flesh flies.

It’s a great looking logo, but watch your complexity.
